Mies Architecture. European Union Prize 2009

An touring display of the finalist works presented at the 2009 Mies van der Rohe Prizes, starting in Barcelona. The exhibition shows the award winning, finalists and selected works in this Prize edition, a total of 60 pieces.
The Mies van der Rohe Prize or Contemporary Architecture, or Mies van der Rohe Prizes, is awarded by the European Union and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation in Barcelona every two years from 1988, aims to offer recognition and awarding the quality of the architectural production in Europe, focusing this way on the important contribution of the professionals to the development of new technologies and ideas.
It also offers the citizens and public institutions an opportunity to understand better the cultural role played by architecture in two different ways: promoting a better circulation o the professionals around the European Union through international projects, and supporting young architects in their first moments of their professional life.
